Origin : Hills around Licodia Eubea, in the extreme south-eastern edge of Sicily.
Vineyards : On the hills overlooking the Dirillo river valley.
Grape variety : Nero d'Avola
Harvest : Second / third week of September.
Vinification : Destemming in steel tanks, followed by fermentation and maceration for 8/140 days plus malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
Alcohol content : 13/13.5%
Color : Vivid red
Aroma : Hints of red fruit and spices.
Taste : Softness, roundness, a subtle tannic texture, savouriness and a final sensation of balance.
Aging potential : 4/6 years.
