1. General Information and Acceptance

Welcome to SicilianFoodShop.com, the online store for Sicilian food and wine excellences from Mariano Macaluso's Bloweb. Purchasing products on our site implies full acceptance of these Terms and Conditions, governed by Italian law (Legislative Decree 206/2005 - Consumer Code). We recommend keeping a copy of the contract.

2. Products, Prices and Orders

- Catalog and "100% Sicilian Quality Seal ": We offer typical food products. Some are certified with our "100% Sicilian Quality Seal," a guarantee of origin, authenticity, and superior quality control. This seal provides specific return rights (see section 5).
- Prices and Availability : Prices in Euros include VAT. Images are indicative only. Since these products are often handmade, availability may vary.
- Order Process : By completing the checkout process, you submit a binding order. The email confirmation constitutes acceptance of the contract. You can modify your cart before final payment.

3. Payments, Billing and Delivery

- Secure Payment : We accept payments via PayPal and Stripe (SSL protocol).
- Invoicing : Electronic invoices are issued only upon request to VAT holders.
- Shipping Options : At checkout, you can select different shipping options. Please note : To be protected in the event of damage during transport, you must select and pay for the insured shipping option . This choice is essential to exercise the right of return for damage (see section 5.2).
- Delivery Times : Shipments are dispatched within 24 business hours. Delivery times (48/72 hours) are approximate. For perishable products, we decline responsibility for damage caused by courier delays.

4. Receipt of Goods and Mandatory Checks

The Customer is required to:
1. Check the package upon delivery in the presence of the courier.
2. In case of obvious damage to the packaging , immediately complain to the courier by writing "with reservation" on the delivery note and notify us within 7 days by email to `This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.`, attaching photographs.
3. For perishable products, check their integrity and temperature upon receipt.

5. Return and Refund Policy: Cases and Conditions

Important : For perishable food products, the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal does not apply (Article 59, Legislative Decree 21/2014). Returns are accepted only in the following cases.

5.1 Cases in which the Return is ACCEPTED :

B. Product is DEFECTIVE or NOT COMPLIANT with the online description The product must be certified with the "100% Sicilian Quality Seal" . Within 7 days of delivery.
C. FAILURE TO DELIVER the product ordered and paid for No additional conditions. After the estimated delivery time has expired.

5.2 Cases in which the Return is NOT ACCEPTED :

- General dissatisfaction with taste, smell, texture.
- Change of mind or order placed in error.
- Products purchased in excessive quantities.
- Perishable products that expire after purchase, if delivered intact.
- Damage caused by the Customer after delivery.
- Return for transport damage WITHOUT having activated the insurance .
- Returns due to non-conformity for products WITHOUT the "100% Sicilian Quality Seal" .

5.3 Authorized Return Procedure:

- Order number.
- Clear photos of the problem/damage.
- Short written description.
2. Authorization : Our team will evaluate the request. The return will be authorized only if the conditions in Table 5.1 are met . We will send you an authorization (RMA) with instructions via email.
3. Return Shipping : The product must be sent back:
- In its original, intact packaging .
- Absolutely unpublished and untasted (returns are void for opened products).
- Following the RMA instructions. We only cover return shipping costs if we are at fault or the product is defective.

5.4 Refunds:

- Timing : Credit within 14 working days of receipt and verification of the authorized return.
- Method : Refund to the same payment method used for the purchase.
- Amount : Full cost of the non-compliant product, including initial shipping costs if the return is due to our responsibility.

6. Alcoholic Products and Responsibilities

The sale of wines, spirits, and beers is reserved for adults (over 18 years of age). The customer assumes full responsibility for the proper storage and consumption of the products after delivery.

7. Privacy, Changes and Disputes

- Privacy : Personal data is processed according to our Privacy Policy.
- Changes to the Terms : We reserve the right to update these Terms. New versions are effective upon posting on the site.

- Jurisdiction : The competent court is that of Palermo . EU consumers can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform.
