THE Monreale Frolsi Biscuits They are a handcrafted delicacy made in Palermo following a centuries-old recipe. These delicious biscuits shortcrust pastry , decorated with sugar icing , have their roots in 16th century , when the Benedictine nuns of Monastery of San Castrense they prepared them to welcome travellers.
