MATTO
SYRAH wine
IGT Sicilian lands
Ruby colored wine with violet reflections that comes from Sirah grapes. The nose reveals notes of small, fresh red fruits, accompanied by balsamic nuances typical of the Mediterranean scrub. The round and harmonious taste reveals a bursting freshness, perfected by the subtle texture of tannins and a good flavor.
Crazy in the sense of out of the ordinary as the name of the grape Sirah, perhaps Persian, perhaps Sicilian from Syracuse, passed to France and then returned home.
Crazy also for its internal light, a ruby red with marked, persistent, purple hues. He is crazy about his scent of spices and red fruits. Like a wide-open eye on the vineyard and the world, an enveloping eye that slowly enchants you.
The Sirah vines are cultivated with espalier and simple Guyet. It is harvested between the middle and the end of September. Matto has an aging capacity of up to four years.
